Important message about Fundraising

Good morning,

It's Kent Heazlett, the Event Coordinator for the Hawkesbury Classic Paddle and I'm contacting you to assist you in meeting your commitment to raise a minimum of $200 (we hope that you go way beyond that minimum....One paddler has already raised over $17,000 !).

You would be aware that the Hawkesbury Classic is a charity fundraising event and the sole purpose of the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic Association Inc. is to organise the annual event and, in so doing, raise funds for medically based charities.

Currently, only around 75 of the 185 paddlers who have entered, have set up their Crowdraiser page on GiveNow

To ease the administrative burden of keeping track of donations, we use the GiveNow fundraising platform. Another way to meet your commitment is provided below.

GiveNow allows paddlers to set up a secure, online "Crowdraiser" fundraising page which can then be shared amongst family, friends and work colleagues for them to easily support you on your Hawkesbury adventure.

Set up your fundraising page on GiveNow by following the steps below.

2. Click on “CrowdRaise now” towards the bottom of the page

3. Follow the steps to set up your own CrowdRaiser page. Please make a point of

specifically including your name in your page title to assist people who may be

searching for you, e.g. John Smith’s 2026 Hawkesbury Paddle.

4. Then check the email from GiveNow which will have the URL for your page for you to

share.

5. Share your page with friends, family, colleagues…everyone, and please ensure that you thank them for their kindness.

Option 2.

Another way to both meet your commitment and to encourage friends, family and work colleagues to support you, is to use the simple link below and make a direct deposit the the Association's bank account

Good luck with your fundraising, we have set a target of $100,000 to be raised this year.

 Kind regards

Kent

Arrow Foundation - 2026 Primary Recipient of Funds

The Hawkesbury Classic Paddle is a charity event. Again, this year, the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic Association Inc. has chosen Arrow Foundation to be the primary recipient of funds raised by paddlers in the event.

Upon entering the event, each paddler undertakes to raise a minimum of $200. Hopefully, most paddlers will raise far in excess of that minimum.

Cockatoo Sponsors The Dash

A big thank you to Tim Griffiths from Cockatoo Kayak Tours for again sponsoring the medals for the 30km Windsor to Sackville "Dash". This Classic event is proving popular with newcomers to the Classic and those that have "been there - done that" but still want to be part of this iconic paddle.
